The Ponte de Lima International Garden Festival is a matchless opportunity to appreciate creativity, beauty and interaction between garden designers, artists and other creators. This Festival is a unique space in Portugal where visitors can explore twelve temporary gardens, which will be renewed each year through a competition.

With regard to this year's theme, we believe that it is a tremendous opportunity to raise the awareness of visitors to environmental problems and to issues as important as waste and recycling. This event is an important lesson in environmental protection, since together the gardens are an opportunity for deep reflection, while suggesting possibilities of interaction with new and avant-garde approaches to public spaces, namely gardens.

We would like to conclude by offering a warm welcome to the 3rd Ponte de Lima International Garden Festival which celebrates “Waste in the Art of the Garden”.
